TANNED SKIN IS HEALTHY SKIN
Tanned skin is the result of ultraviolet radiation (the sun) which leads to our skin trying to protect itself while also dying, by darkening. This causes the over production of melanin (what gives our skin color). While Vitamin D is made through the sun touching our skin, it only takes 10 minutes of sun exposure to made 10,000 units of the vitamin. Therefore, there’s no excuse for prolonged sun exposure without proper sun protection.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant. This means that when topically applied to the skin in high doses, it protects the skin from damaging free radicals caused by sun exposure. Concentrated Vitamin C also does the following: Inhibits your skin’s melanin (color) production; which leads to an overall brighter, more even skin tone, being anti-inflammatory it helps to heal red, damaged skin and repairs plus hydrates dry skin.
CHEMICAL PEELS
Chemical peels are the process by which an acid is applied that causes light trauma to the top layers of skin. This trauma forces brand new skin to be made. Chemical peels have a vast array of benefits including treating acne, minimizing fine lines, and lightening uneven skin tone. No matter your skin type, a peel will leave you with baby soft skin. Peels come in various types and should always be suited to your particular skin type and concerns. As always, consult a professional if you’re interested in a peel.
